Organized in 1783, Randall's Methodist Church is the oldest Methodist church in Stanly County and is located north of Norwood near the junction of Indian Mound Road and Randall Church Road. This 1962 picture shows the church's third sanctuary -- built in 1858 and then remodeled in 1935.

Bethesda United Methodist Church

Located south of Albemarle on the old Aquadale Highway, Bethesda Methodist was organized in 1961and utilized a vacant store building as a place of worship. This 1961 photograph shows the building and the charter members of the congregation.

First United Methodist Church
208 Pee Dee Avenue
Norwood, North Carolina 28128

This 1882 building was the third sanctuary to stand at the corner of Pee Dee Avenue and Allenton Street in Norwood. Originally designed and built as a wood-framed structure, the church was remodeled and veneered with brick in 1916.
